That's actually quite a creative guess so I applaud you for that.

But I am wondering if you knew a person who matched that description personally. Or seen or heard him around the city.

Well no. Since this isn't a surprise history quiz...

I'm not familiar with anyone by that name that's lived in this millenia.

Is he someone you know? Someone you need to find?

Well to explain some things: Lately I've been having these visions. Flashes of memories that aren't really mine? I suppose is the best way to describe them right now.

In any case- In one of these visions, the man I described proposed to me. I said yes.

I feel like that makes him quite important somehow.

You aren't alone in the visions. I've had some too.

But uh, wow? So you're Mrs. Menodora then?

It's good to see that the philosophy 'the more, the merrier' is still being used by the strange mistress we call fate. To all of our great discomfort.

And it's kind of why I need to find him. Did it push through? Did we cancel it? Do I get to keep my last name or do I really need to change it? These are questions that have to be answered.

I guess that's a good thing? I'm not really a fan though.

And yes those are really important questions! What do you know about him? Do you know anything at all other than a name?!

I know he has to be around my age. He looked to be in his 30s and was taller than me. (Which is not difficult to do but still!)

Beyond that, I don't have much else to go on. Besides the fact I have the necklace he used for the proposal.

Was it in one of those packages from Retrospec I heard about?

Yes! I thought it belonged to someone else. I never owned something like this in my life.

I guess I stand corrected. Big time. I take it that you never got one of these items for yourself yet?

I have not.

Some other people have though. I've just gotten the weird memories. Though mine are a lot more mundane.

If I can ask. If you rather not speak about, I understand. From my experience- They're quite overwhelming sometimes. If only because of the implications they hint at.

Well, the one that isn't really mundane is me in a foggy castle.

I couldn't see a lot, but there were shapes in the fog that were definitely hostile. I just...wasn't sure what was up with that.

I don't think you've ever been to an actual castle, right?

This is strange. A lot of us think that what we see are memories from before but a lot of them don't make sense if you think about it. Where's the evidence of it happening? How come are we only remembering it now?

Oh, I'm sorry to dump this on you. It's just nice that to have a serious discussion about this.

A lot of this doesn't make sense, no. But I feel like that as time goes on we'll fill in more gaps. Quite a lot more.

And it's really no trouble. I don't mind. It's nice knowing other people are experiencing the same thing.

We have each other to rely on when the world becomes topsy-turvy. Like you said, there's something comforting in knowing others are going through this. It isn't a matter of doubting your stance. More like to parse through the information that feels both overwhelming and yet so scarce.

Who knows? Maybe we'll get a chance to visit a castle one day. A real one or a bouncy one! Both sound exciting.

They do! Hopefully we'll have some answers soon.

And if not, we'll just have to do what you said and stick together.

They can't ignore us forever. Sooner or later we'll get our answers. Until then, we'll help each other out no matter what happens.
