Yeah. Like a suit or something. I don't know, it's like I just...I can't remember what it is except that it's awkward. And heavy. But...mine?

[She makes a frustrated noise.]

The only thing that's really clear are the people. They're in...masks. Like party masks. Big stupid animal masks. And they have...this insane powers. One of them could teleport and throw fire.

[She's talking faster now, like she can't quite catch herself.]

Another just had a machine gun, like something out of an old movie, and was shooting at me and I wasn't even scared. Just...angry. I was so angry. And I did something. I don't know what. I just, I picked him up? With like, my mind. And slammed him against a wall. Over and over.

And he just...broke.

[Her voice cracks a bit there.]

[That is extremely heavy. All of that, and Yukiko's silent for several pregant seconds. She doesn't really understand how that could be, but then she was fairly convinced that she did actually have a...something...living inside of her. Was telekinesis really that much more far fetched? Not in her head.]

I...wow. So you think you were like one of the Z-Men or something? Joan Gray?

[Yukiko's tone is very, very serious, without an ounce of disbelief. She can't really say that she doesn't believe in magic, and if Eleanor's talking this way and this freaked out, then it wasn't just an ordinary power fantasy.]

Have you...tried using that ability?

What like in a comic book? I...no that's ridiculous. I don't...[Eleanor huffs.]

I don't know. Nothing about this makes sense. People don't have powers like that. But when I picture it, it felt so natural? Like I knew exactly what I was doing.

[There's a long delay.]

Uh. Yeah. But nothing. I clearly do not actually have any crazy powers.

[See, Yukiko is growing increasingly less and less sure of a lot of this stuff. Particularly the supernatural powers bit because of a lot of reasons.]

I think I understand. What you're getting at, I mean.

[A beat.]

Do you know why you were fighting these guys? Masked guys, you said?

No. I just know I was so angry at them. And...there was something with me? Or someone, maybe. But I don't know who. Just...someone.

It's all really confused.

[She groans, and there's the sound of her rolling over.]

None of it makes any sense. And if they're going to make me remember this insane stuff they could at least make it a whole picture. Not just...blurry photographs.

I agree, Eleanor.

[Her dreams. Well. Memories...hadn't been much clearer.]

The first thing I remember...dream...whatever it is, was literally so foggy I could barely see in front of me. I don't even really know what was going on.

Fog...

[Well that was odd enough to pull Eleanor from her funk, at least for a moment.]

What else have you remembered?

Well. Two things that seem relevant. But one's dumb.

[She seems to latch more onto that than anything else. The other is freaky-deaky.]

I...was learning how to play the saxophone. With some people, and one of them was Yosuke I think. I'm not sure though. I didn't get a good look. But I am pretty sure I remember how to play!

[Which is exciting!]

[Huh.]

You can play the saxophone now? That's not dumb! That's kind of amazing.

But that's not the really freaky dream. Have you ever...seen the fog and how thick it can be out on the beach? Or in Tisse when it gets really, really rainy?

We can ask the band director if you can borrow one.

Sure? I always kind of liked the fog. It makes everything feel really still.

[Yukiko makes a small noise of agreement about the band, but it's no big deal. Now the fog...]

Well, yeah. I was in a place filled with fog. Really, really thick fog. It was like...I don't know, it felt like a castle. Stone walls and torches, and that was about all I could see clearly.

[She stops talking for a minute, huffing a breath.]

I do think I saw things moving in the fog though. Like shadows, masks, or something. It was terrifying. I don't know how else to describe it.

It...almost sounds like a monster movie.

[Eleanor sighed faintly.]

We'll figure it out. At least you weren't hurting anyone, right.

Honestly? I wouldn't be surprised if it was.

And no, I don't think I was hurting anyone. But I feel like if I'd made a wrong move I'd have been hurt. Badly.

[Maybe even killed.]

Whatever was in that fog was...malevolent.

You're alright, though. Just...focus on that, okay? Whatever might've happened didn't.

[Yukiko was still there. If these were some kind of insane memories then...well. Eleanor didn't want to dwell on that.]

Yeah. And you aren't fighting any masked maniacs. We're here in Recolle and even if we have amnesia and super powers, that's not who we are now.

[There is one other thing that sticks out though, now that she thinks about it.]

Also have you ever seen me wearing a pink dress?

Take what we can get, right? Superpowers might be cool though.

[She draws in a breath.]

Pink?

[Eleanor is quiet, mentally going over various dresses worn to various dances.]

...Don't think so.

You always struck me as more of a red girl anyway. You wear it enough.

[She wears red for a reason. It's just her color.
That's really all there is to that.]

I agree. I was just wearing pink in this memory.

Can't imagine why, it doesn't look good on me, not with my eyes.

Well, now we know not to put you in anything pink.

[She laughs softly.]

Exactly.

[She huffs a breath and looks over at the clock.]

And...we have class in the morning. You think you can sleep?

I don't know. I just keep...keep seeing it...

[She knows she's dwelling. She trails off and sucks in a breath.]

I took two benadryl. Figure that'll knock me out either way.

Good. We can talk more about it tomorrow.

[A beat.]
